Overview
This itinerary include a pick up from Kilimanjaro, short briefing, and a transfer to your hotel. You will hike through the trail to summit for several days while spending the nights in huts. The Machame route is another common route used for climbing to Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak. With scenic views of rainforests, craters, and glaciers, this route is spectacular.
Itinerary
Our professional English-speaking guide will be waiting for you at the airport. Upon arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed warmly to Tanzania for your safari. A few minutes ahead, you will be on the road heading to Moshi for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge. Take enough time to relax your body before the next day of hiking.
Our driver will pick you up in the morning, then transfer you to Machame Gate where your hike will begin after registering to the officials. You will now begin your hike from the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro through the rainforest. Depending on the period of your hike, you may encounter mud and slippery, so it is better to use gaiters and trekking poles to anchor your steps.

Wake up and get a hot breakfast prepared by your chef. After breakfast, you will hike through the rainforest into a valley, then to a river ridge until you reach the Shira Camp. Here you will relax, have dinner, and sleep overnight.

• Distance: 5 km
• Hiking time: 4-5 hours
• Habitat: Moorland
On this day, you will start your hike at the same elevation and finish it at almost the same elevation. This day is special for acclimatization. You will walk to the east crossing the junction to Kibo. You will then continue to the southeast towards the Lava Tower (12,500ft). As you continue your hike, you will finally meet the second junction that heads to the Arrow Glacier. You will then reach the Barranco Camp, which is at 13,000ft where you will rest, dine and sleep overnight.

After breakfast, you will continue hiking until you crosses the junction that connect to the Mweka Trail. Your hike will continue until you reach Karanga Camp where you will have rest, an early dinner, and sleep preparing yourself for the summit attempt.

• Distance: 4 km.
• Hiking Time: 4-5 hours
• Habitat: Alpine Desert
The summit attempt will begins at 23:30 p.m. when your mountain guide will woke you up. You will begin hiking at around 00:30 a.m. You will hike past Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers and head to the Stella Point (18,600ft) where it becomes so challenging. From this point, you have one hour of hiking through the snows to the Uhuru Peak. At the sunrise, you will be standing on the highest peak in Africa. Congratulations for your achievement. Your certificates await you at the Machame Gate when you descend down. After enjoying the marvelous views on Uhuru Peak, you will start to descend down to Barafu Camp where you will eat lunch and descend further to Mweka Camp for a dinner and sleep.

After breakfast at Mweka Camp, you will descend down the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Your certificates will be available there. A driver will take you to your accommodation in Moshi for celebrating your summit success and sleep overnight. End of trek

On this day, you will leave the hotel on a drive to the airport or transfer to other wildlife destinations for a safari adventure. We also provide this package.

WEIGHT AND PORTERS
Clients are required to have a maximum of 15kg in their duffel bags. Due to the large increase in operational costs as a result of excess weight of clients’ luggage, we’ve had to resort to the following measures:
